Duplantis broke the world record

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis set a new all-time best outdoor result in that discipline at the "Diamond League" meeting in Stockholm, jumping 6.16 meters.

The Olympic winner from Tokyo, 22-year-old Duplantis in Stockholm improved by one centimeter his own best outdoor result set in September 2020 in Rome when he "jumped" the result set back in 1994 by the legendary Ukrainian Sergej Bubka.

Duplantis is also the owner of the absolute world record, in March of this year at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, he jumped 6.20 m. In his collection, Duplantis already has gold from the Olympic Games, the World Indoor Championships, and the European Indoor, and Outdoor Championships, and he is still missing only the outdoor world title, which he will try to win in Eugene at the WC from July 15-24.
