Connor McGregor will be back very soon

Connor McGregor could be back in the action sooner than expected. The Irishman didn't compete since he suffered a leg break in a TKO defeat to Dustin Poirier in their last trilogy fight, last July. Now it's been a year from that setback and McGregor is looking to finally return and start his comeback trial. His recent posts on social media were showing him training and sparring, while his leg looks completely healed.

Still, there is no better source of information than the former lightweight champions' status than his head coach John Kavanagh who recently revealed that he had a grappling session with McGregor. It was the first time they did that since the buildup of the Porier trilogy. Kavanagh's biggest revelation was that Connor was back in training for all facets of mixed martial arts.

Kavanagh was showing the marks on his forehead, saying that he showed up by surprise and he was subjected to a couple of rounds by that 2000-pound gorilla. He also added that they had a great roll around and it was literally the first time they did some grappling with him since the leadup to his last fight. However, it's still not certain who will McGregor face in the first match of his comeback.
