Ronaldo once again made history – but so did goalkeeper Moris

Christiano Ronaldo just picked up the 10th international hat-trick, as he helped Portugal to destroy Luxembourg in their World Cup qualifier. However, Manchester United forward failed to score one, which might have been one of his greatest ever. He got cut off by the Luxembourg goalkeeper, Anthony Moris.

Moris pulled off one of the best saves of his career to keep Ronaldo away. Ronaldo pushed Portugal forward into the early lead with two penalties in the opening 15 minutes. One on each side of half-time, Bruno Fernandes and Joao Palhinha added goals.

The 36-year-old player managed to complete another hat-trick with just a few minutes left for the match, heading home from a close range. It was the night to remember as he managed to break another goalscoring record.

Ronaldo officially became the first player who brought up 10 international hat-tricks. It would be even more memorable if he managed to score that wonder goal which was stopped by a Moris. During the 68th minute, Ronaldo finally controlled a fine cross and flicked it up, slightly with his first touch.

He proceeded in his attempt for a bicycle kick with his back, all the way to the goal. He made effort to go down the centre of Moris' goal, however, it went just a few inches below the crossbar. It forced him into an amazing save, which everyone could barely believe.
