Danny Care is back in England team

England made three changes for the series decider against Australia, with the scrum-half Danny Care being recalled to starting line-up. Care was handed the No 9 jersey before Jack van Poortvliet, which added to his experience for the finale of Sydney.

There are two injury-enforced changes in the pack, while Lewis Ludlam and Ollie Chessum are taking over Maro Itoje and Sam Underhill. Coach Eddie Jones added that they had a squad of 36 for the upcoming trip and competed hard, which makes them really proud of their achievements. He said that the team went into the Test with a squad of 23 in the end but they were strong, despite being young and inexperienced. They developed really well throughout the series.

They wanted to play with a purpose and energy to win the series, according to Jones. Outside of Care, England's back-line is still unchanged. Having to level the series in Brisbane, Jones hopes that the Marcus Smith-Owen Farrel could motivate England to victory. Jack Nowell, Tommy Freeman, Freddie Steward, and Guy Porter all kept their places with youngsters Henry Arundell and Will Joseph. Other than injury changes, the team stays untouched, with Courtney Lawes and Billy Vunipola combining alongside Ludlam in the back-row.
