The Blue Jays continue their winning streak

George Springer opened the game the best he could, launching a sixth-inning grand slam that ended up a 10-3 win against the Cardinals, giving the Blue Jays their seventh straight win.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was another player of the game by launching his 21st home run to continue his hitting streak. Interim manager John Schneider and George Springer confirmed with one more that hitting is a key, if not the most important, part of every game. In other words, it's about hitters being who they are, knowing that their talent will move them if they walk instead of trying to change the game with just one swing.

Vladimir entered the last five games with 12 hits, but it was only his third home run in 21 games in July. Even though Vladimir will not reach the 48 home runs that made him the runner-up of the American League last season, that doesn't even matter now. The only thing that matters right now is what happens from here on out as the Blue Jays fight to secure the first Wild Card spot in the AL race.

But not only did these two players influence the final result, but the mood in the team was at its peak during the match. After several defeats, the team completely changed and under John Schneider, they play more aggressive baseball. John is the only manager to have a run differential of +50 or more in the first nine games since Jim Price posted +63 for the New York Gothams.
