Mexican Cocktail That Breaks the Prejudice

Don’t be a gringo, try michelada. A recipe for an ingenious Mexican cocktail that cools and glows in the same sip. What is that, salty, spicy, fine, and refreshing at the same time? A Mexican cocktail that will break all the prejudice that beer must be drunk clear, without anything inside.

If you’ve never tried michelada, you don’t know what you’re missing out on. Refreshing and spicy, it’s a Mexican beer and lime cocktail which will cool and relax you in a very nice way. If you are a fan of soy sauce, you can add in this cocktail a couple of drops. This cocktail will completely have a different taste. And once you tried, you will want it more.

Sometimes, Mexican people love to add tomato juice to this cocktail, because in this way it will get beautiful color. You can add all these ingredients or you don’t need them. But the main ingredients will be beer and lime.

Ingredients for michelada (Mexican Cocktail):

 360 ml of neutral beer

 1 teaspoon of chili powder

 1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt

 60 ml of lime juice

 2 teaspoons of hot sauce (Tabasco, sriracha…)

 a few drops of soy sauce

 slices of lime

Preparation:

1. On a shallow plate, mix salt and chili powder. Moisten the edges of the glass with lime slices and roll glasses in that mix with spices.

2. Pour the lime juice, hot, and soy sauce into a glass and stir gently. Fill a glass with ice and then add beer. Stir gently, garnish with lime and serve.

At the first moment, the taste may surprise you, but in the end, you will love it. For sure you will be looking for more, and this Mexican cocktail will become your favorite drink.
